What is Hijab?

Many Muslims around the world practice hijab, which is Arabic for cover, but is extended to mean modesty and privacy. For non-Muslims, hijab is most often associated with the modest clothing that Muslim women wear. In actuality, hijab is practiced by both men and women, and includes other requirements of modest behavior. Muslims follow the rules of hijab to show their submission to and love for God.

حجاب چیست؟

بسیاری از مسلمانان در سراسر جهان حجاب را رعایت می کنند.حجاب واژه ای عربی است به معنی پوشش اما معنای این واژه گسترده آن،به معنی عفت (حجب)و پوشش است.برای غیر مسلمانان،حجاب اغلب به عنوان لباسهای باوقاری به کار می رود که زنان مسلمان می پوشند. در و اقع،حجاب را هم زنان و هم مردان به کار می برند و شامل دیگر ضرورت های رفتار متواضع نیز است .مسلمانان قانون حجاب را برای نشان دادن اطاعت و عشق شان به خداوند متعال بکار می برند.

The rules for hijab are discussed in the Hadith, an oral tradition which accompanies the Qur’an and helps proscribe the ways of Muslim life. According to the Hadith, men and women should behave modestly in situations where they meet each other. Modest behavior includes averting your eyes from someone of the opposite sex, speaking with respect to one another, and not touching members of the opposite sex.

The Hadith also includes rules for dressing. Both men and women are directed to cover themselves when they are in public areas. For men, following hijab means that the body should be covered at a minimum from the navel to the knees in loose, thick clothing. Some interpretations of the Hadith suggest that the covering should be longer, from the navel to the ankles. All agree that the modest covering should be worn at all times, including prayer.

For women, the rules of hijab are more complicated. Some Muslims interpret hijab as a minimal covering of the face and body, while others believe that hijab requires a complete obscurement of the entire body in heavy garments. In a basic form, the Hadith states that women should cover their bodies in loose, thick clothing to prevent the shape of the body from being seen.

There has been much debate over hijab in the Muslim and non-Muslim world. Some critics feel that hijab is very restrictive for women, while some Muslim women say they actually feel more comfortable in hijab. Most non-Muslim countries have ruled that if a woman chooses to wear hijab, she should be permitted to do so. Muslim policewomen, lawyers, doctors, aerobics instructors, and teachers can be seen wearing hijab in many countries.

Islam has no fixed standard as to the style of dress or type of clothing that muslims must wear. There are however, some requirements that must be met. These include:

Body must be covered

Loose Clothing-The clothing must be loose enough so as not to describe the shape of the body.

Thick Material-The garments must be thick enough to hide the shape of the body and the color of the skin.

Modesty-The dress should not be ragged or fancy. It should be clean and dignified looking.

This is inadmissible for men to appeare like women and for women to appear like men.

Clothing is only one facet of hijab. It is also behavior, manner, and speech. Women who wear the hijab do not find it inhibiting, impractical, or interfering. We should wear the hijab to show our identity as muslims. More importantly, we should wear it to show our love and respect for Almighty Allah and his instructions.

قوانین حجاب در علم حدیث بحث شد-یک سنت شفاهی که به همراه قرآن آمده و در بازداشتن از بدی ها در مسیر زندگی کمک می کند.بر طبق حدیث:مرد و زن باید در شرایطی که یکدیگر را ملاقات می کنند حیا را رعایت کنند.رفتار توام با متانت شامل چشم پوشیدن از جنس مخالف ،صحبت کردن با احترام به یکدیگر،لمس نکردن اعضای بدن جنس مخالف است.

حدیث همچنین شامل قوانینی برای پوشش است.مرد و زن در مکانهای عمومی موظف به پوشش خود هستیند. برای مردان رعایت حجاب یعنی بدن باید از ناف تا زانو پوشیده شود.برخی تعبیرها از حدیث این را بیان می کند که پوشش باید بیشتر باشد-از ناف تا قوزک پا. همه توافق دارند که پوشش معمول باید در تمام زمانها از جمله در نماز حفظ شود.

برای زنان،قانون حجاب کمی پیچیده تر است. برخی مسلمانان،از حجاب به عنوان پوششی برای صورت و بدن تعبییر می کنند ،درحالیکه دیگران معتقدند که حجاب یعنی پوشاندن کامل بدن با پوششی سنگین مثل چادر.به طور اساسی،حدیث بیان می کند که زنان باید اندامشان را با لباسی گشاد و ضخیم بپوشانند تا مانع دیده شدن بدنشان شود.

وجود داشته است بحث های زیادی در مورد حجاب مسلمانان و غیرمسلمانان جهان.برخی شهرها تصور می کنند حجاب محدودیتی برای زنان است،درحالیکه برخی زنان مسلمان میگویند با حجاب احساس راحتی بیشتری دارند.بیشتر کشورهای غیرمسلمان قوانینی دارند که اگر زنی حجاب را بر می گزیند،باید به این کار اجازه داده شود. زنان پلیس مسلمان،قاضی ها،دکترها،مربی ورزش و معلمان در خیلی از کشورهای دنیا باحجاب دیده می شوند.

اسلام شکل ثابتی برای سبک لباس یا نوع لباسی که مسلمانان باید بکار ببرند ندارد.ولیکن ضرورت هایی وجود دارد که باید رعایت شود.این ضرورتها شامل:

-بدن باید پوشیده شود.

لباسهای گشاد:لباس باید به حد کافی گشاد باشد به طوری که برجستگی بدن را نشان ندهد.

ضحامت لباس:لباس باید به حد کافی ضخیم باشد که بدن و رنگ پوست را نشان ندهد.

محجوب:لباس نباید ژنده یا عجیب باشد.باید ظاهر تمییز و با وقاری داشته باشد.

برازندگی:این ناپسندیده و نارواست که مردان به شکل زنان باشند و زنان به شکل مردان.

لباس تنها یک صورت حجاب است. ؛ رفتار،برخورد و گفتار نیز حجاب است.ما باید حجاب را برای نشان دادن ایمانمان بعنوان مسلمان بکار ببریم.مهمتر از آن باید حجاب را برای نشان دادن عشق و احترام به خداوند متعال و دستوراتش بکار بریم.
